WHY I’M HERE
Raised in a family of health care providers and professionals, my eyes were opened at an early age to the impact personal and meaningful connections can make in the lives of team members, providers, patients, and guests. My first job was in the microbiology laboratory for a large multi-specialty medical group. Here, I gained valuable clinical Experience and realized the important role I was playing in each of our patients’ health care journeys…even though I didn’t directly interact with them. This Experience early in my career opened my eyes to how each team member, regardless of role, can be a part of delivering memorable Experiences every day.

As Director of Experience Activation, I partner with our Lab Partner organizations to activate, operationalize, and sustain their Experience strategies and engagements and serve as the executive producer of Inside Out. It is an honor to play a role in guiding teams on their “Big E Experience” journey to transform the Experience for team members, providers, patients, and guests.

WHERE SHE’S BEEN
For more than 12 years, Alicia has called two of San Diego’s leading health care systems her home. She most recently led the design and implementation of a reimagined Medicare education insurance Experience for Sharp HealthCare patients, their loved ones, and the community.

Leading the Medicare service line team, and partnering with key external stakeholders, she designed and implemented a multi-faceted campaign that included easy-to-navigate online resources and videos; TV; print; radio; along with connecting with more than 10,000 patients and community members through in-person Experiences. Her efforts are recognized for contributing to elevated brand awareness, substantial market share growth, and enhanced profitability.
