Manager, Experience Relations

AN EXPERIENCE DETAIL THAT WOWED ME
The Experience of being greeted with a “hello,” and with eye contact and a smile, continues to wow me. Whether in a health system or a store, that initial moment where I feel seen and the warmth of feeling welcomed, immediately puts me at ease. Feeling connected to the people and space changes the entire dynamic of an Experience.

WHY I’M HERE
Having spent my 20’s as a chronically ill patient, I Experienced health care at its very best and at times, its worst. I navigated those years with the support of my friends and family, but passed the days, weeks and months in the hospital with my providers, their team members, and fellow patients. Now, 30 years later, I can still feel the memory connected to the gratitude and to the disappointment. That’s the power of health care–the lasting impression a moment will make when you are at your most vulnerable. I use these memories, and especially the gratitude I feel for those who played a role in my ultimate wellness, to drive my work as an Experience Catalyst in The Experience Lab. Next to being a wife and mother, supporting and guiding the process of making health care better for those who have chosen it as a profession, and those who Experience it as a patient, is my greatest passion.

Since joining The Experience Lab, Hilary has served as Sonia’s Executive Assistant and lead orchestrator of client account management and relations.
