AN EXPERIENCE DETAIL THAT WOWED ME
For our anniversary, my husband and I stayed at a local hotel to relax and unwind. I had mentioned it was our anniversary when I booked the room. From the moment we arrived, every team member, including the valet and front desk to housekeeping and our waiter at dinner, welcomed us with a sincere congratulatory greeting and made us feel so special. Then to our delight, we were surprised with a decadent chocolate cake and champagne waiting in our room. They made it so memorable for us--we return every year to celebrate!

WHY I’M HERE
Quite simply – I want to make a difference.
I believe I was given the gift of eternal optimism for a reason, and I know that I have found my purpose with The Experience Lab. It is my absolute passion and joy to cultivate that optimism throughout the health care universe. My aim is to elevate the Experience for caregivers, patients and their loved ones, so that every story is heard, understood, and valued. It is the desire to be fully engaged that drives me to actively listen and share the goodness and significance of each and every person’s story.

As an Experience Catalyst, I am one of the essential master organizers and executive producers for Inside Out, with a focus on orchestrating and leading venue, catering, transportation, and crew logistics. I also support the team with Catalytic Guiding and organizational details for all of our Experiments.

WHERE SHE’S BEEN
Kathy is a dedicated planner and innovative problem solver. Before The Experience Lab, she was founder and owner of KD Global Marketing where she worked with numerous clients in the shopping center industry, health care, entertainment centers and childcare facilities nationwide to create strategic marketing plans, logistical mapping, and flawless event coordination. She is a recognized expert at building, organizing, and executing detailed Experience plans utilizing key organizational tools, maximizing workforce engagement, and accelerating company performance.

For 14 years, Kathy worked with Sharp HealthCare in San Diego on their strategic, organization-wide performance and culture improvement initiative, called The Sharp Experience, designed to transform every aspect of the health care Experience. She spearheaded the planning team to coordinate the vast details of The All-Staff Assembly, a signature Experience bringing their 18,000 team members together annually for inspiration, education and celebration.

Kathy is very involved in her community—volunteering on School Site Councils, participating in volunteer projects through National Charity League, and mentoring high school students through TEDxYouth events.
