Joy Burst with Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Mind-Body Club — Shaking Out Stress

Student Ambassadors from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School’s Mind-Body Club share methods for reducing stress through mindfulness and expressive movement — dancing and shaking the stress out — sharing their personal wisdom for bringing calm to our lives in times of trauma or uncertainty.

Following the tragic 2018 school shooting in Parkland Florida, and with the guidance of teacher Diane Wolk-Rogers, the Mind-Body Ambassador Club was created to empower students and teachers with the calming self-care skills of mindfulness, meditation, and movement to work through trauma and stress. The club is run by students who are certified facilitators who now share their skills with others across the school district, community, and the world.

The Experience Lab is hosting 15-minute, live Experiences (via Zoom) with friends of The Experience Lab each week. Exemplars will virtually share music, poetry, meditation, and inspiring readings meant to serve as a midweek energy changer for you, your team, and the industry.
